Not breaking as for long time it’s known agreement on gas transit ends 2024 and Ukraine will not extend it (also it was not worth to have a good will for countries hungary and slovakia to supply them with gas…)

Putin is signalling that he might be willing to negotiate, with no way to know whether he’s planning to actually negotiate or just make insane demands thinking that Trump cares more about ending the war than anything else
It makes a LOT of sense for Ukraine to work on having as many cards to play as possible right now. Energy prices and Russian gas supplies seem like the obvious ones
It’s a frankly ridiculous situation that Ukraine has been invaded by Russia but continues to allow Russian gas to transit, and Russia even pays them to do so…

If i am understanding this correctly, Ukraine is saying that they will damage and cut off all of the streams, including the one in Belarus, as well as the ones in the Black Sea?

It’s not breaking. They announced it months ago. They will stop the transit because the contract ends at the end of this year and they will not renew it.
