  1. The ‘cops’ didn’t escape prosecution.

    They did nothing wrong.

Also how the hell this took over 6 months to decide on is beyond me. I wonder if this would have been the outcome had Farage not indicated he was going to organise a private prosecution the other week?

  2. Escape prosecution 😂 death by the media yet again for police. No wonder we’re all leaving or have left

  3. Oh, I wonder how this sub is going to react to the news that nobody will be charged for kicking a brown person in the head

  4. Lots of people “escape prosecution” because there is no realistic prospect of proving they have actually committed a crime. Every day, millions of people aren’t charged with robbing a bank.

  5. I can’t believe people are actually still defending these two pieces of shit

  6. Good, cops need to be able to do their job without do gooders complaining. Unpopular opinion, but the police have my backing to smack the shit out of any and all of society’s douche canoes (and since this is Reddit i will spell it out in crayon for those that twist words and look for agendas in every damn word). When I say douche canoes, I mean the worst people out there irrelevant of skin colour, religion, culture, sexual preference or gender orientation).

  7. The right decision in my opinion. Took way too long though. Now let’s hope the violent scumbags get jail time.

  8. I do not care what the person being arrested for – they could literally be the scum of the earth, but under no circumstances should a police officer be allowed to kick a person in the head. Escpecially when they are restrained by another officer on the ground.

I’d have the officer doing the kicking and the two individuals that assaulted the other officer sharing a cell. Neither should be tollerated.

  9. There is no way even in the UK that international airports will allow absolute violent lawlessness.

  10. Great news. It was ok for them to whack that lady officer but not ok for them to protect themselves under a potential threat. Yeah the boot may have been full contact. But he learned to stay down.

If the police had more power to look after themselves, people may fear them more and not antagonise or assault them so often.

And if I remember being dicks in an airport is a bad move to start with.

  11. Great to see. Where are all the “tWo TiEr” morons now saying these guys had got away with it? Funny stuff.

  12. I’m not sure it’s necessary to take sides.

These two people are being charged with a crime, which seems very reasonable given the video evidence.

That can be true, and it can also be true that the police officer was misbehaving, and so were his friends.

Presumably the violent offenders will face prison time. That seems reasonable. I think it is also reasonable that police officer face meaningful consequences. Police officers should never, ever be stamping on the heads of helpless, recently-tasered people. The surrounding circumstances are irrelevant. Police officers are supposed to be held to higher standards, not lower standards.

(As ever – downvoters, use your words. I’m not sure what your objection is.)

  13. The brothers went from victims to criminals haha

    Love it

I guess you have to see the entire video, read the entire story before making an opinion.

  14. But makes it sound like a bad thing. I don’t think the cops did anything wrong.

Good thing because we need them taking on idiots who can’t control themselves.

  15. Excellent news, justice system working as designed (in this instance)

  16. The wording of this headline seems to imply the officers were guilty of something. Scummy journos being scummy journos.
