Well deserved. She was on our flight on the way back from Paris after winning her medal and was really sound, took photos with everyone, signed everything had a laugh and a joke with everyone. You wouldn’t have believed she had a gold medal in her back pocket she was really humble

Rhasidat Adeleke should have won this by a country mile ahead of Kelly. And Mona McSharry also should be ahead of her. Both are brilliant committed athletes. And genuine role models.
Boxing is a barbaric & voyeristic sport, we should not be elevating boxing as a sport to aspire to. It’s a pathway to brain damage. In terms of participation levels female boxing is also miles behind athletics & swimming in female sports. Is there any logical parent that would want their children to pursue boxing ahead of swimming or athletics? Seriously. Complete nonsensical to award this to Kelly.
I would have given this to Rhasidat. She had a fantastic year.
