As much as I dislike the current situation with regards to housing (both in the rental and sale sectors), and without having read the full (paywall) article, a blanket reduction of a fixed amount on all rental properties after 6 months makes no sense.
All this will do is encourage landlords to increase their initial rental fees.
There are also the landlords who are charging fairly in the first place.
These ill thought out policies might grab headlines, but they don’t fix the problem
Anyone who thinks SF will behave any differently down here beeds their head examined. The party of the bar stool racist and taxi driver, always were, always will be
