2. Yeah, it doesn’t look like “Syria” is ever going to be a thing again. I imagine Israel is going to expand its security region, the US will carve a piece for itself to keep pressure on everyone, Turkey will hold a piece and the new Syrian regime will hold Damascus.

7. The vocabulary in this article is so full of politically biased vocabulary that it lacks journalistic credibility. It is overlooking so many economic and historic details that any in-depth insight would be very questionable.

   Syria has existed for millennia in one form or another. It is geographically determined and has been caught between so many factions for so long that it will continue to exist through the ebb and flow of the events that surround it.

   The people who live there need support and relief. Using their situation to advance ideological power plays is exemplified by this article and only serves to perpetuate their suffering and struggle.

   if you want to help, learn to see past biased viewpoints with an axe to grind and learn the real facts of their long history and recent events that include refugees driven by drought and famine as well as massive Iraq war refugee immigration, and Proxy battles between Sunni and Shia backed conflict. Understanding the struggle of the Kurdish people is also important.

   Then the propaganda war of words from external ideologies will become obvious and easily discounted.
