Shrinkflation is real

  1. So: +25%+ increases in the price and -25%- diminishing the amount of products…
    Equals?…………
    Yup…guess who’s getting stinky richer and richer….

  2. I don’t mind shrinkflation too much for junk food. The alternative is price rises – the businesses want your money so would rather the costs were lower so they could maintain profit at a lower selling price but that just isn’t the case. They could reduce their profit margins but I believe those are already quite tight for fmcg products.

  3. I rarely buy pringles anymore, not because of price whatever, but because their flavour is crap. Entire formula been changed so much, that they taste like plain tortilla.

They used to pack fresh nice smell, but whatever they use now is like watered down cheapest version, given also their corn crisp, it’s usually better buying anything else.

  4. This gobshite highly processed food without any nutritional value shouldn’t be dirt cheap to be honest. It’s all made by machines.
