I have known of this boardgames pub a while ago. So I was sad to see the recent news regarding a closure. They are looking for someone to take over the business (HLN, 9 December 2024)). I don't think we have a similar concept in Kortrijk that matches this place. Their app was cool to reserve your table and to order drinks.
I took my friends there once and after I left, one of my pals managed to spectate a D&D match for 3 more hours and make new connections. I was rather shy and haven't really tried to meet people but it felt like a real safe place to be as a nerd gamer myself 😀
As I said, this concept is rare and I'd be real bummed if no one is going to take over. I remember Barvatar in Ghent and if I'm not mistaken, they went bankrupt (correct me if I'm wrong!).
