MERRITT ISLAND — As the holiday season lights up Brevard County, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex invites locals and visitors to embark on an out-of-this-world celebration with its annual Holidays in Space, sponsored by Pepsi®.

This spectacular event blends the magic of the season with the wonder of space exploration, offering dazzling displays, family-friendly activities, and a breathtaking projection mapping show, Starflake’s Holiday Voyage.

The festivities run from Dec. 20 through Dec. 30, with extended hours to ensure no moment of holiday cheer is missed.

The centerpiece of the celebration is Starflake’s Holiday Voyage, a mesmerizing projection mapping show that takes audiences on a celestial journey across Earth, the stars and beyond.

This show, displayed nightly on the façade of Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex®, incorporates stunning visuals of iconic space landmarks such as the Vehicle Assembly Building, Artemis, the International Space Station, and the James Webb Space Telescope.

“This is the 13th year for Holidays in Space, and the third year we’ve incorporated the projection with the fireworks and lighting the way it is,” explained Russell Bruhn, Senior Communications Manager at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

“Every year we try to do something new, something better, more engaging for our community and this has grown organically and I think next year there’ll probably be something even better than we’re doing this year for our guests.”

The projection mapping show starts at 6:50 p.m., giving guests the perfect way to end a day at the visitor complex, which remains open until 7 p.m. during the event. Best of all, Starflake’s Holiday Voyage is included with general admission, ensuring families can enjoy the magic without added costs.

From the moment you enter the visitor complex, you’ll find yourself surrounded by holiday wonder. A 50-foot tree adorned with more than 61,000 pixels of light illuminates the Rocket Garden, creating a breathtaking centerpiece.

Other festive touches include six-foot-tall astronaut nutcrackers, a giant NASA meatball turned into a holiday ornament and the ever-popular Rocket Tree Trail, sponsored by L3Harris.

The Rocket Tree Trail showcases creatively themed trees that celebrate the wonders of space exploration. “We have a moon tree, a Mars tree, and others that are decorated to the nines,” Bruhn said.

The lights across the Rocket Garden and throughout the complex bring a dynamic charm to the season – especially with the 3D glasses they have.

Whether you’re snapping photos for social media or simply soaking in the ambiance, the décor adds a magical touch to the experience.

In addition to the stunning visuals and festive lights, the event features family-friendly activities that promise fun for all ages. At the Atlantis West Pavilion, guests can enjoy cornhole, a four-in-a-row game, and the popular custom galactic miniature golf—all included with admission. The white tent hosting these activities creates a festive space where families can play together and make lasting holiday memories.

Holidays in Space runs daily from Dec. 20 to Dec. 30, except for Christmas Day, when the complex is closed.

General admission prices are $75 for adults (ages 12 and up), $65 for children (ages 3-11), and $70 for seniors (ages 55 and older). Parking is an additional cost, and while the show is included with admission, Bruhn recommends making a day of it to maximize the value of your ticket.

“Many people will come for the day, explore the complex, and then stay for the evening show,” Bruhn said. “It’s a great way to get the most out of your visit.”

The magic of Holidays in Space is made possible through the support of sponsors like Pepsi® and L3Harris. “We love their partnership and support,” Bruhn said.
