Good to be honest about this sort of thing – sanctions and divestment from the UK need to be elevated, and it won’t make things easier for life here.

No worse than a decade of austerity, the self-imposed sanctions we imposed on us due to Brexit and the cream egg shrinkage.
Besides, we are planning on eating the rich soon anyway.
I’m not prepared, we have it hard enough already. Sanction Russia by all means, but let corporations and the rich foot the bill.
I would take random blackouts and no heating if it put enough pressure on Russia to end this war.
and? I have friends in germany who are saying they will willingly freeze if necessary so to cut of russian gas and oil. I am more than willing to suffer higher prices if it is necesary as a result of sanctioning russia.
Do the public ever think war will be great for their personal finances? It might be good for a very select few with shares in the arms industry, however the average person should know that war always leads to higher prices. A major war in Europe is going to hurt us particularly hard, especially as we know it will affect gas and grain prices. I suspect most people are just adding it to the list of major problems they can do nothing about.
