> The cost, obtained by the Scottish Conservatives, is a rise of £200 million on data reported earlier this year by Audit Scotland. The figure comes from April this year so may now be even higher.
> These figures are a damning indictment of how the nationalists have shamefully neglected our health service over the past 17 years.
Wow, just look how much the NHS funding ~~increased~~ went down over Tory rule. Wow. It’s as if a massive increase in pensioners needing care wasn’t funded for 15 years while they’re in power.
Weird focus on providing a lengthy explanation about the Edinburgh Eye Pavilion at the end of the article… Not sure if just me but it doesn’t really tie in with the rest of the article to go into that much detail
NHS is in a state UK-wide. There’s been no money spent on improvements to public services in over a decade. Several hospitals in England are currently declaring emergencies due to pressures on infrastructure and Labour’s recent budget will take time to improve services – it’s not going to be easy or quick to undo years of Conservative governments. Not a fan of the Labour party these days but they have at least restored funding for our public services. Let’s at least see what SNP do with that rather than lambast them for financial pressures caused by austerity, Brexit, Covid, and Conservative Governments
