  2. FWIW Coal use in China is set to decline significantly over the next decade, China is installing the equivalent of over 100 nuclear power plants worth of capacity, by building out solar, wind, and nuclear.

    Capacity factor of coal plants is now at 43% and dropping, almost all new coal plant permits in China have been cancelled

    Solar is now over 750 GW in China, and they are adding new solar at a rate of over 170 GW per year. Wind is also growing, but more slowly. The cost of battery storage systems in China is now under $90 per kWh
