  1. The mere word "rape" is insufficient in describing the decade of sexual assault this women suffered. There's got to be a better word, one with a greater magnitude.

  2. The suspended sentences says to me that if Gisele had chosen to stay anonymous, these disgusting men would have got away with little to no consequences for their actions.

  3. In America, half the country would vote for her husband as President, Time magazine would make him person of the year. Also, Elomusk would buy the chat room he used to find the men, put in a cryptocurrency paywall, and start a campaign to protect their actions as free speech.

  4. Until men are taught to respect and value women this behavior will continue.. Gisèle is a heroine… for the ages… Who raises men this sexually sadistic, and depraved?
Bravo to her… and all who supported her, the time for change is now. The judges must too be scrutinized for such minimal sentences…

  5. She is a symbol and hopefully France and the world can become a better place after this, but to talk about tianman square is quite far fetched…

  6. I find it interesting that these countries are so light on sentencing these types of crimes. That they needed a face for the women that had to endure such crimes. Isn't this suppose to be the first world? It is alarming, also how the defense acted.

  7. i'm surprised all involved were also not prosecuted for organized crime. i would had imagined there was and still is a case for that.

  8. Keep in mind: Mr. Pelicot’s depraved abuse wasn’t limited to his wife. He invaded the privacy of his daughter and daughters-in-law by taking inappropriate photos, and even strangers in the supermarket. It’ll probably turn out he had other victims.

  9. She has been unbelievably brave in insisting this wasn't held behind closed doors and making the whole world know what took place. How many women would want the pictures and videos made public ? but by doing so she has, as she said put the shame on not only her perverted husband but also the men who took part and thought this was acceptable behaviour. The French need to update their sentencing to allow judges to give longer prison time when found guilty.
