Amazon Prime Video’s new series, A Very Royal Scandal, has Princess Beatrice steering clear of her father, Prince Andrew. The 36-year-old is reportedly “brokenhearted” over the show. It depicts the events leading up to the Duke of York’s infamous 2019 Newsnight interview. Now Beatrice is determined to stop being Andrew’s “peacemaker.”
Beatrice is ‘sick of being humiliated’ by Andrew
Being depicted in A Very Royal Scandal—similar to Netflix’s Scoop—has embarrassed Beatrice (via Ok! Magazine). The miniseries premiered on Sept. 19, 2024. Michael Sheen plays Andrew as he navigates allegations against him related to his Jeffrey Epstein association culminating in the interview.
Widely panned, the now-64-year-old royal found himself benched from official duties. Andrew also lost patronages and his Hrh (His Royal Highness) status.
A source described Beatrice as a “daddy’s girl” who is “sick of being humiliated.” The insider also claimed Andrew’s interview re-entering the news “devastated” her.
