Terrorism Roars Back in Pakistan, 10 Years After a Campaign to End It – Political instability, dwindling public support and economic constraints are eroding the costly gains that the country made in combating militancy after a ghastly school attack in 2014.

Umm.. What campaign to end terrorism?
Pakistan’s true rulers, the military industrial complex, has been working hand in hand with terrorist organisations. Even the civilian government, including the Prime Minister was openly celebrating when Taliban took control of Afghanistan.

This is a country which had scammed the US of billions of dollars to “aid” their war against terror, while funding terror themselves and giving refuge to Osama Bin Laden.
The people running this country still think that there are “good terrorists” and “bad terrorists”, that they can deal with the “bad” ones while using the “good” ones to push their geopolitical goals.

I’m just confused on what the point is. The Sharifs could have just stayed in London with all the luxurious properties they bought with taxpayer money and just lived happily ever after. Why they came back into this shit show is beyond me.
The army, too. Combating the BLA and the TTP would be a phenomenal idea for their PR and wouldn’t take a serious amount of effort once the leadership starts doing their job. It might at least somewhat pacify the unrest and protests against military rule.
It’s like, these clowns aren’t just evil, they’re absolute morons about it as well. They’re damning us, and also damning themselves.
We successfully drove terrorism out of our borders after the APS attack, and it was a very uplifting and hopeful moment. But now all of a sudden, the military, Zardari, and the Sharifs just throw it all away… for what?
