  4. That’s just an, ok, OMG, I’m at a loss for words. Invoking Nancy Reagan (who I do believe was well-meaning). But tRump and Prezzie Musk are both drug-addled ragers.It just continues to make no sense, although it makes such sick sense.

    What is he going to do thats *new* that we haven’t seen a dozen times. The war on drugs has never made a real dent in actual drug use. And weve burned trillions trying to squash these roaches only for them to just swallow entire continents.

    And also *because its trump* you can just expect some subtle fuckery just because. Like is his real goal trying to end drugs or is it something else?

I’m a substance abuse counselor and ever client I have pretty much lists dare as where they learned about drugs and what they’re called and how much they cost through dare lol the others had addicted parents. Let’s see if tellin people “drugs are bad mkay” will work like it worked flawlessly in the 80s.
    “Just stop” guys that’s all it takes! Fuck if he guts rehabilitation funding and suddenly we can only hold half the clients because of it those other people are going to overdose, get arrested, hurt themselves or someone else, leave a child parentless. Please keep funding getting people help I mean fuck expand the funding we honestly don’t get close to enough to hire enough staff or keep employees long term. The longest term tech is my fiancé she’s worked at this rehab for les than 18 months. Counselors and nurses stay longer more often but they still come in and out the door on a regular basis. And most employees are in recovery and the job doesn’t supply them with any resources as employees regularly seeing people overdose, having thousands of dollars of drugs pass through my hands everyday, have found multiple clients dead I mean when I was a client there a woman who was my roommate because that was their solution to her being lesbian back then and she overdosed in bed at night and we found out she was cold and stuff when I was getting dressed and went to wake her for coffee, shits so bad. Over 100,000 overdose deaths a year in this country and trump wants to ramp up what we decided didn’t work over a decade ago. Ignorance about what addiction is is what leads to the policies letting them die so easily instead of get help unless court forces someone’s doors open for a client many rehabs have weeks long waits. Ours is always 4-24 hours at most because it’s large and the people we treat are all inner city people from multiple of the large cities in the northeast (I’m near Philly) and it’s about 5 staff members at any given time to keep 200 people who have been in and out of prison, stabbed, shot, tame. Luckily that stuff has happened to me too so they listen to me, they all listen to people who they know understand where they’re coming from and that I can tell them their life story before they open their mouth because it’s so similar to mine and everyone else’s. Fuck the incoming admin.
