It's nearly time!
Ol' Saint Nick is packing his sleigh and getting ready to zip around the world dropping off satsumas and coal to all.
How are you spending the evening? Last minute present wrapping? Peeling your spuds for tomorrow? Relaxing on the sofa with a glass of something delicious?
Come and have a natter.

Kids had too much sugar.
Me and Mrs spud are watching red one with a tipple whilst we wait for the kids to conk out.
Cheese board soon!!
Waiting for our chinese to come, just finished watching Shrek & The Polar Express. Tradition watch of A Muppets Christmas Carol to do in a bit!
Spent the day listening to Christmas Crooners and eating some nice food. Off to work now until tomorrow morning. Hopefully it’ll be a quiet night. Have a pleasant evening everyone.
Watched Muppet Christmas Carol this afternoon, just made a lovely roast and now to try to get the kids to sleep before 10pm… Wish me luck!
My 5 year old niece has been bouncing off the walls from pure excitement, I’ve never seen her this excited/talkative before. Asking me every 5 minutes to look at the Santa tracker, and watching the [Live Santa North Pole Cam](https://www.youtube.com/live/bANyr01FKI0?si=pdO0duoG7q2wwUdM) for two hours straight.
I’m currently two stouts down and I’ve just started on the Belgian beers my parents brought back from Bruges (all 8-12%), so I’ll probably end up passing out on the sofa tonight.
Had Norovirus since yesterday, hoping it fucks off by morning.
Muppets Christmas Carol later. Been doing as much food prep as possible this afternoon. (And working in the morning, in the actual office for some unfathomable reason, rather than blanket wfh this week like other office based jobs).
Sister has turned up, me and mum are half pissed. Having a good time.
Watching The Holiday, which is one of my favourites.
Why are Jude Laws kids so different though? One has the poshest accent ever and the other speaks like the Cockney Geezer from Mighty Boosh
I’m spending tomorrow alone for the second year in a row after saying no more to spending it with my abusers. I’ll be taking it like any other day.
For many, whether we come from abusive households, have recently suffered loss in its many potential forms, or simply do not have people in our lives to spend it with, Christmas can be a period of loneliness and anxiety.
There was [a great post](https://www.reddit.com/r/CasualUK/comments/1hi6fnk/resources_for_anyone_struggling_at_this_time_of/) a few days ago of resources for those of us who find this time difficult. I urge anyone who finds themselves in crisis to use them as they need.
Whether we know each other or not, I care about you, and know that many others do too.
