Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico went to Moscow for gas talks with Russian leader Putin. Fico stated that this meeting was in response to a statement by Ukrainian President Zelenskyy that he opposes Russian gas transit through Ukraine. Deal on Russian gas transit through Ukraine expires on Dec. 31.
