Hi people, the ticket I bought had 1 transfer but the first train was delayed so I wouldn’t have catch the second one. I chose an alternative route in the DB app but it says I have to check whether it’s valid. This is my ticket, how can I know if its valid?

  1. If the first train was delayed, you should be able to use your ticket on other trains than just the one you would have taken

  2. If you miss your connection due to a delayed train, you can take any train, including ICEs, to get to your destination.

  3. If you miss your transfer conntion due to delay of the first train, you can take any train from DB to your destination.

    Sometimes, the DB app even displays “Zugbindung aufgehoben”.
