  1. It’s still under development… and they’re going to build 3k of them over the next 12 months? I have many questions.

  2. Basically, a nuke without the nuke-part. An WMD you can actually use!

  3. It’s immense that Ukraine is getting weapons production up and running. Western aid isn;t what it could be but the things that have been supplied have been critical. HIMARS, air defense, javelins etc… They’re really fucking good at destroying air defenses so hopefully their homemade missiles can do some damage later on.

  4. Surely they don’t plan on building and assembly in Ukraine?

  5. Just 3000? I suggest the production be over 9000.

  6. Doubt.

    * Pulse jets just aren’t that good. The V-1 had a range of about 250 km, and the Germans were quite competent designers.

    * The range requirements quoted in the article are unrealistic because they assume launch from the frontline, which would be foolish.

Realistically, Kyiv to Moscow is 750 km. That’s broadly representative of the requirement for a flexible system capable of threatening Moscow.

I’m sure that the Ukrainians can achieve this, but I think that it’s quite unlikely that they will do so with a pulsejet, unless they dispense with the warhead and instead use it as a nuisance device to deprive the Russians of sleep.
