Look like an old advert for sewing machine, the second sentence is the company (an aircraft motorist according to Wikipedia)

TIL This firm – Gnômes et Rhone – was specialised in motors (airplanes during the war), and after WW1, had to find new opportunities. In the same time, there were a lot of widow. So the french state decided to buy and gift War widows ( under certain condition : number of kids and husband fallen during the fight) a sewing machine for personal or prof use.
