  3. From the reporting seems like someone having a psychotic episode. So ‘mad’ not ‘bad’. Really sad for everyone involved.

    Used to go to calls like this during my time on the ambulances – thankfully never ended up with a shooting.

    (And if you are happy with someone suffering mental health issues getting shot, I was assaulted more than once by people with medical issues like epilepsy, diabetes or urine infections, and that could happen to *you*. As I used to tell my students, the most dangerous patient was 80 year old Doris with a UTI and a knife near her bed for protection)
