Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were IMCD NV (AS:), which rose 1.65% or 2.30 points to trade at 141.50 at the close. ASM International NV (AS:) added 1.28% or 7.20 points to end at 570.00 and Randstad NV (AS:) was up 1.24% or 0.49 points to 40.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Prosus (AS:), which lost 0.98% or 0.39 points to trade at 38.90 in late trade. Aegon Ltd (AS:) declined 0.18% or 0.01 points to end at 5.61 and Exor NV (AS:) shed 0.06% or 0.05 points to 88.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 72 to 21 and 12 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.34% or 0.93 to $70.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.20% or 0.87 to hit $73.19 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 3.36 to trade at $2,631.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.00.
