On the 25th (local time), DeFi specialized media The Defiant reported, citing a report from capital market research firm PitchBook, that “next year, venture capital (VC) investment in cryptocurrency is expected to double from this year’s $9.9 billion to $18 billion.”
In 2021 and 2022, investments in the cryptocurrency sector amounted to $24 billion and $29.8 billion, respectively.
PitchBook analyzed that “the participation of traditional financial institutions such as BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Goldman Sachs can strengthen investor confidence in the cryptocurrency market, potentially accelerating mainstream adoption of digital assets.”
