  1. Actually, you clearly didn’t read the original article. THE OPPOSITE. The article is on how the crown princely couple refused to talk about Marius in a televised interview and dodged all questions with “private, the media is putting too much pressure on us” etc. Not a good look at all!

  2. Read the article and watched some clips from the interview and in the whole I understand where they are coming from. I guess I’m trying to be nice and see it from their perspective (as parents) whilst also considering the actual victims that have been the most hurt.

Haakon makes a valid point about trying to be respectful and considerate of everyone involved (Some people don’t want that kind of attention etc) when questioned about why they weren’t speaking out. Haakon might’ve meant their son but it could also be out of consideration of the victims.

It seems that they’ve been getting help from helsevesenet (equivalent is NHS) long before August which is good but from the outside looking in it doesn’t look like it has made any difference.

I can understand that the media’s coverage on this hasn’t been easy for them but I don’t think Mette-Marit is in a position to complain that much about it. It doesn’t look good to complain and I just think she’s saying it thinking of her son. I can understand that some of the victims might not like the media coverage but I don’t think Mette-Marit is talking about the women and their feelings in this. I don’t have children but I guess your first instinct is to protect your child from scrutiny but he’s hurt a lot of people and needs to be held accountable for it. This isn’t something that the media is going to hide away or stop writing about.
