Strikes me as dumb for them to stay as long as they have when they had options.
This guy is a regular on BBC Radio 4 news programmes. Until now he was insisting that he was going to stay in the country.
I was reading about a couple who decided it was too dangerous to meet in Ukraine a couple of weeks ago so met in Poland, then decided oh it’ll be ok and went two days ago. And are now stuck.

Sure, in the same way that standing in the middle of a motorway is a case of “wait and see what will happen”.
