We’re never going to find what happened on the fishing trip.
I did laugh at Smithy’s full name though.
Did enjoy spotting areas where they’ve filmed as lots is near where I live.
I thought they did a really good job with that.
Called Gwen being with Dave the moment she was evidently hiding something. Probably the only part of the episode I felt wasn’t really necessary and a bit out of place. The rest of it was a brilliant way to end the show.
Smashed it! I think we all gas confidence they would nail it and they did.
Why did Neil the baby disappear?
Loved it, great way to end a great show, watched this after Wallace and gromit which was also great 👍👍👍

I know people will hate on it for lots of reasons from personal preference to James Corden hate but I’m 43. All the gelled hair, stupid nickname banter, 2000s mobile phones, drinking with your parents, getting married, kids, oh shit we’re OLD etc etc
It feels like a bit of a life accompaniment. Larry Lamb looking old was like when I used to look at my dad and suddenly realised the giant man of my childhood was now an old man. Gavin and Stacey still being in love and enjoying their life together reminded me of my marriage. All the odd little people you gather along the way in your life, all there.
Ah, I’ll always have a soft spot for it
Even though I’m on the younger side, Pam and mick are still my favourite characters after all these years, never have I seen a better representation of a British house wife than Pam and the stoic and constantly blamed yet loyal husband Mick. And still today I constantly laugh about it with my mum.
Mick standing up being thing that really hit home for Smithy after the pub speech about him making Micks family whole was the perfect way of showing how much Smithy also cared about Mick as a father figure and respected his opinion.
Nah I loved the ending of this
Can we all agree that Sonia is a bad scruff and deserves absolutely nothing nice in her life yeah?

The funny thing about these 2 special episodes are that Gavin and Stacey’s story has already been told so they’re now basically supporting characters and they should have called the last 2 episodes Smithy and Nessa 🤣
The only thing I think they missed was not enough Rudy, Sheridan Smith is an incredible actress and id have loved to have seen more of her.
Same for Smithy’s mum, Pam Ferris is a national treasure who never seems to get the recognition she deserves.
I was absolutely buzzing when Rudi showed up even if only for the quickest of moments.
Loved it. The only way it could have ended.

I genuinely thought it was going to end >!right after Smithy had popped the question but before Nessa could answer, like the inverse of the previous episode. They even started to feed in the music at that exact moment!<

Neil the Baby singing was my absolute highlight. Such a beautiful version of Blackbird
I loved every second of it. What a great way to end the series and so much nostalgia too. The stag and hen do’s were painfully true. Loved that Budgie struggled to remember his actual name. Loved that everyone stood up for Smithy , even Neil the baby and Mick. Can’t wait to rewatch now
