  1. Yet, they force 14 african countries to allow them to print their respective currencies, France can keep whatever they put on the table and we ll take our bussiness elsewhere, trading with China, Hong Kong and possibly with India thru BRICS or Free Trade Agreements, i t's more than enough.

  2. I've worked on farms in the UK and run my own smallholding successfully, and I can say with confidence that it's child's play in France. They have the best climate and land conditions for growing just about anything. Seems to me, if they can't make it work they're in the wrong business. As for the politics, I don't see any of the other countries complaining…. Yet. Agriculture is a business, and the business is dictated by the market. That's the way it works, if they don't like it don't do it.

  3. I fully support european farmers right to sell their tractors and dedicate themselves to other tasks. South American agriculture is good quality, soon youll find out.

  4. the European Union is corrupt to the hilt. How can you destroy citizens, workers and farmers like this, depriving them of their jobs? Why should they pay rent to buy food for their children?

ursula von der leyen should be in prison for the rest of her days. All her actions will lead to terrible poverty in Europe

  5. Farmers: super conservative except when the government takes away their subsidies or loosens import restrictions, then they become full fledged socialists. A bunch of bs.

  6. If french farmers do not fight for their livelihoods no one else will. Personally l enjoy french produce. Keep going france. Love from the Uk.

  7. You will end up with nothing, because you want everything. Yes, I confess that you would lose market share in the food sector, but you would gain a market of over 700 million people willing to consume manufactured products such as cars, computers, TVs, etc., products with high added value.
This would turn Europe as a whole around, but if you prefer to protect your food base, you will end up losing market share to China and the US.
Time is not your ally and the more time you waste in this dispute, the more China and the US will rush to close deals that would be yours.

  8. They need to move up the value chain. Instead of growing everything themselves, buy the raw products from Brazil and process it.

  9. European farmes are unable to do business without heavy subsidies from their government. Here in SA we have the best fruits, vegetables, meat and the whole world to feed. Let europeans pay a lot more for lower quality food if that is what they want

  10. Protests for protectionist measures coming from a country with a long history of forcing others to liberalise markets, contradictory at the least.
