Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the gained 0.14%, while the index added 0.15%.

The best performers of the session on the were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:), which rose 1.85% or 0.90 points to trade at 49.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Renault SA (EPA:) added 1.77% or 0.82 points to end at 47.08 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) was up 1.77% or 1.26 points to 72.54 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Credit Agricole SA (EPA:), which fell 0.92% or 0.12 points to trade at 12.91 at the close. Kering SA (EPA:) declined 0.59% or 1.40 points to end at 234.20 and Societe Generale SA (EPA:) was down 0.49% or 0.13 points to 26.50.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Valneva (EPA:) which rose 3.66% to 1.99, Wendel (EPA:) which was up 2.91% to settle at 93.80 and Imerys SA (EPA:) which gained 2.58% to close at 27.82.

The worst performers were Voltalia SA (EPA:) which was down 2.85% to 6.82 in late trade, Elior Group (EPA:) which lost 2.58% to settle at 2.64 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) which was down 2.29% to 12.35 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.50% or 13.16 to $2,648.66 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.17% or 0.12 to hit $69.98 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.10 to trade at $73.07 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 107.88.
