  2. Probably dresses several members of his security detail as part of the surrounding. He isn’t safe around normal people.

  15. These were proved to be actors in the early months of the war, same faces in different situations. Generally I remember many of the actors work for the regime in some way and get called up now and again for a photo-op. One video, purportedly showing the ‘Mothers of Russia’ who were supposed to be grieving over their dead sons, receive comfort from their leader. But the same old faces were there again. I still have a lot of the photos but have no idea how to post here.

  16. He’s been doing this for at least a decade. He is very paranoid … Can’t risk getting too close to too many people. It is better to have trusted actors. Most people don’t even notice.

  17. Similarly there were “civilian” actors from the Russian media pretending to be Ukrainians. Just before the 2014 invasion. In one interview she was pretending to be a mother in another interview she was pretending to be something else with a different name while blaming Ukrainians.

    Using trusted models like this is also good for security concerns, as they have previously been vetted.
