I am trying to take out a stripped screw from my laptop. Any idea which place in Helsinki region I could ask to fix it and the price?

I have tried to DIY by using super glue, rotation tool, rubber band (all the tricks I learned from the internet) but it does not help. I am not sure if there is a shop in the Helsinki region that can do it

This is definitely not a mechanic subreddit but just want to try my luck. I am out of ideas already. My laptop screen is broken and I want to replace it. This screw is the only blocker than prevent me from doing so.

  1. You need to drill a small hole inside the screw, then softly hammer in a torx head that is just very slightly larger than the hole you drilled.

    This is the last option if all less invasive methods have failed.

  2. Try to put wide rubber brand on it to created friction and then use screw driver normal way.

  3. I would just use dremel to grind away the screwhead. You could maybe ask from Helsinki Hacklab telegram if someone would be able to help you with this.

  4. Either I Tapsa or Mcare may be able to help, but you would need to waive any liability.

  5. As others mentioned, use dremel. 

    First try to cut a groove for flathead screwdriver. 

    If that doesn’t work. Very carefully grind away the screw head.
