  1. I mean, you could always fuck off to a country without offensive pub names.

  2. What about the rugby club? Does he want them to change their name too?

  3. Tell this nobhead to fuck off and then make him pay the legal fees for everyone involved.

  4. Fingers crossed the courts will throw it out. However, who knows these days.
One could offend a shit fly if they could hear you.

  5. Check his social media history to see if he’s watched any videos of hostages being beheaded that should put an end to his case.

  6. The is a known terrorist. Why the hell hasn’t he been thrown out of the country? And I don’t care if he is a British citizen or not

  7. So we are letting this person sue a pub because he doesn’t like the name.
I don’t like the fact that a convicted terrorist is allowed to walk our streets so can I sue him.

  8. Everyone getting their knickers in a twist about this needs to give their head a wobble. He hasn’t brought a case. If he did, wouldn’t win. He would pay costs. What do you want to change? People who have been in prison can’t have access to courts? Specifically terror offences?

You’ve successfully discovered that one guy you thought was a wanker is, indeed, a wanker. Move on.

  9. Interesting stuff, this. My understanding is that some pubs are called The Saracen’s Head because of the Crusades, others because of executed Barbary pirates.

The King might want to sue a bunch of pubs, given they’re named after a previous Charles’ head.

As an example of how The Telegraph has descended into the culture wars in recent years, here’s its review of the 2019 Baltic Artists’ Award exhibition which included Ingrid Pollard looking at Black Boy as a pub name: [https://www.telegraph.co.uk/art/reviews/baltic-artists-award-2019-baltic-gateshead-review-beauty-hatred/?ICID=continue_without_subscribing_reg_first](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/art/reviews/baltic-artists-award-2019-baltic-gateshead-review-beauty-hatred/?ICID=continue_without_subscribing_reg_first)

    >It’s understated but smart: Pollard makes you look harder at what’s always been in plain sight

  10. Don’t worry, won’t be a problem for too long. The remainder of the britons will eventually assimilate.
