* Burning coal, not just in power plants but residential houses
* Burning all kinds of other solids, including wood. Even dry, clean wood from the forest is a major pollutant, but in Poland people frequently burn shit like old furniture or literal trash
* On average older cars and no restrictions as to where they can drive
* Lax regulation and enforcement of industry
* In some cases geography adds to that, like in Kraków.
Because cops are useless and don’t do their jobs by putting fines on any mf who burn crap in their chimney.
