Serbian president Vučić publicly said that people who run over protesters in Serbia “will NOT be arrested, are you out of your mind?”. After that, at least 7 incidents happened where the protesters were run over by drivers with ties to Vučić’s party.

  1. Serbia has a significant problem with violence in all areas of life. Kosovo did a good thing declaring independence and steering towards European values.

  2. And every single one of them was “rushing” to the hospital, and later people just found out all of them are part of Vucic’s party.

  3. I have a solution to fear drivers off from running over people, but Reddit would ban me.

  4. Last i checked the president doesn’t hold power over the the judicial system

  5. Both ordinary citizens and political leaders must remember that the relationship between society and its rulers is bound by a contract, with *not feeling 100% alive* as its ultimate currency of exchange.

*The people give up a portion of their rights and power, while the leadership is obliged to guide the people in the direction chosen by them.*

Though this simplifies a complex dynamic, the fundamental and original safeguard against tyranny is the ever-present specter of *not feeling 100% alive*.

On that note, perhaps the individual who encouraged running over protesters should reflect on the origins of the social contract that legitimizes his authority.

  6. Is there a law in Serbia “Encourage to commit crime”?

  7. So if they get shot can you just claim the defence of the president said there was no need to arrest them

  8. Thank you, EU, for supporting this tyrant, I just wonder how many Serbs have to die by Vučić’s hand for you to be happy with the Lithium exchange, since his elections, as your officials said, are without any problems and 100% legitimate.

  9. Is this the „President ordered shooting at protesters- and then they got pissed and overthrew him” moment?

  10. In these warm, cozy days of Christmass, I wish him as good of a holiday as Ceauşescu had in 89.

  11. And yet in one of his many “exclusive guest interviews” he utters complete nonsense along the lines of “we will initiate the largest anti-corruption campaign in the last 24 years”. If it was actually “anti-corruption”, then it’d end up with him turning himself in. In reality, it is yet another attack on anyone who dares to utter a single word opposing the propaganda of the current ruling party.

To the opposition I say “Keep fighting”, and to the insufferable oafs in power I say “JEBITE SE!”

  12. Its clearly premeditated, they even used super old and cheap cars to do it so they dont “waste” any money

  13. Our president is pure evil. He was fascist, but now he is above that ( I thought it was not possible)…

  14. EU doesnt care about this, EU officials says that Serbs have to fix their own problems. But how to fix it with corrupted government, rigged elections and official support of EU to Vucic?

Is it normal that EU officials and country leaders support mafia boss like Vucic?

  15. Ursula, Scholz and Macron be like “We appreciate efforts of Mr Prazyident for poisoning them with Lithium for our inte…. We mean, for improvement of Rule of Law and Democracy and Congratulate him on yet another Democratic Regular elections which had no interference at all.

Oh wait? There were no elections? Ooopsie.”

  16. This will result in the murder of drivers who ran over people. It’s a matter of time.

  17. Hearing „Of course not, are you insane?“ in respond to an question that only has one reasonable answer is so infuriating. How do you not question if this is real life at that point.

  18. A friendly reminder that the leader of the political wing of the mafia, Vučić, is supported by the main political actors of the EU. His main collaborators are Macron and now former chancellor Scholz. Of course, it also has the wholehearted support of various statesmen, e.g. one that EU politicians allegedly do not like – Orban. It would be a shame if I didn’t mention that one man here we like to call the real president – that’s American Ambassador Christopher Hill.
Now comes the most interesting thing, you Europeans think Vučić is a Russian man. Believe me he is not, he just manages to balance, for which he has wholehearted support from the EU because his voters are mostly pro-Russian, and EU wants him to be in power. These people on the streets, there are all kinds of us, those who are pro-EU, those who are pro-Russia, and there are also those who are most in favor of removing this shit of ourselves, of not being indebted to anyone, nor Eu, nor Russia, or China…
And yes, no one will mine lithium here, since it is 30% of the reason why Europe supports this patient and his phalanxes. And even more important, when this criminals falls from power, we have prosecutors ready to show money flows that will point to the involvement of EU politicians with the Serbian mafia. Why am I writing all this, because I want you to keep in mind who you are voting for.
Also, one thing, which more and more people are realizing here, Vučić, Kurti, politicians from Croatia, Bosnia and similar former Ex Yu republics are best friends and raise tensions when they need cheap points…

  19. Protesters just need to set up tire popping spikes to prevent this.
