And the world stands by and watches.
I’m.pretty sure something similar to this happened not too long ago. Crazy how history seems to repeat itself over and over, only with different actors on different stages.
I watched the live report from the BBC and they put in large letters “Israeli strikes hospital after intelligence reveals Hamas operatives”.
BBC regurgitated the hasbara narrative on live tv but in written articles they display some measure of humanity towards Palestinians, while also sharing IDF talking points. That is some good whitewashing.
Remember when they struck the first hospital and we spent two weeks debating back and forth between whether Israel would or would not bomb a hospital?
Now it’s just become the norm and no one questions it
What are we supposed to do? I find this all horrible. Everything seems so confusing with who did what, when, and why that I can’t even accurately get the correct timeframe down. I can understand why these two nations hate each other, and each side has very valid subjective points that they are going to prioritize over the others. But even saying that, may trigger a shit storm of responses that are just reductive and deaf, so what can I really do about this, half a world away? I can’t openly discuss it, I don’t know who to accurately support and why. I’ll just get snippets of people’s personal opinions thrown at me like a grenade, so I ignore it more than I should, and just hope it goes away so I don’t have to keep looking at it, no better than a confused dog would.
