I'm looking to buy a used car that offers a good balance of safety and low maintenance costs.
I’ve narrowed down a few options, but I’m not sure which would be the best fit for Latvian roads and service conditions.
Here are the cars I’m currently considering:
https://longo.lv/en/vehicle/MAZDA-CX-3-2017/H357364
https://longo.lv/en/vehicle/VOLKSWAGEN-TIGUAN-2015/I762240
https://longo.lv/en/vehicle/TOYOTA-COROLLA-2018/H653005
https://longo.lv/en/vehicle/VOLVO-V40-2018/N182935
My main priorities are affordability when it comes to maintenance (including spare parts availability) and overall safety. I’d love to hear any feedback about upkeep, parts prices, and general reliability.
If you think there’s another car in a similar price range that I should look into please share!
I was also looking mainly in longo.lv because of the comfy website but I didn't see much better options on ss.lv, if there are other websites / sources you think are worth looking into please share.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Toyota, all of these on this crappy reseller are going to be a trap, it’s just that Toyota is less likely to be completely fried. Also it looks to be “poor” edition, which means it was most likely a company car for some years, which isn’t necessarily bad, they were serviced right, but it definitely took a beating.
Tiguan is most likely damaged waaaay too hard and was one of the record holders for rewound mileage in the last year.
Mazda is going to start falling apart due to rust in a couple of years and they depreciate insanely.
Volvo has probably done 600-700k km and is on its last legs begging for tons of repairs.
For Latvian roads best pick is – Ural!
I like mazda, but! – it is Not low maintenance costs! And no – rust is not a problem for mazda from 2011 – same as all the other cars
Just buy Hyundai
If you are looking for mazda (and other) – try BravoAuto at Skanste street! They give some warranty and sell good cars
