Stripes in talks with Malta defender Zach Muscat
Birkirkara have decided to part ways with four overseas players, including Ghana winger Seth Paintsil, who has only been with the Stripes since last November.
The Stripes are also in talks with Malta defender Zach Muscat over a possible move but so far, contrary to reports, no agreement has been reached between both parties.
Birkirkara are currently looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the start of the Closing Round as they look to go one better than the Opening Round where the team had to settle for second place behind Floriana after holding the top placing for much of the first phase of the 360 Sports Malta Premier.
The club had made it clear earlier this week that they were set to analyse their squad and part ways with those players who they feel they did not perform to the best of their abilities.
Birkirkara have now decided that Seth Paintsil, Juan Jose Siafa, Andre Correia Martins and Maicon will all be leaving the club next month.
Added to that the Stripes are already working to bring in four overseas players in January to bolster their squad.
Meanwhile, Birkirkara are in talks with Zach Muscat over a potential move but so far no agreement has been reached between the two parties.
Muscat is currently looking for a new club after he ended his spell in Portuguese football.
