Ahead of the final of the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025, RTL is taking viewers behind the scenes to meet the seven acts competing in the contest.

The Luxembourgish broadcaster RTL has released ‘Behind the Curtain: The journey to the Eurovision Song Contest’ a series of interviews with the participants in the Luxembourg Song Contest. Meredith Moss and Melissa Dalton have met with the artists to get to know more about them, their journeys and their songs.

As part of the episodes, the viewers are given a glimpse into the audition process, with minute-long snippets of each acts performances featured in the episodes. You can watch all of the episodes on RTL Play.

The finalists in the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025 are:

Laura Thorn – “La Poupée Monte Le Son”
One Last Time – “Gambler’s Song”
Luzac – “Je danse”
MÄNA – “Human Eyes”
Rafa Ela – “No Thank You”
Rhythmic Soundwave – “Stronger”
ZERO POINT FIVE – “Ride”

135 artists applied to represent Luxembourg with 53 invited to the auditions, among them they 79 songs were contention. At the auditions, 12 acts were selected to go through to the second round where ultimately 7 finalists were chosen.

The Luxembourg Song Contest is entering its second year in 2025, after Luxembourg returned to Eurovision this year for the first time since 1993. The show will be staged once again at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette, and the final will be held on January 25th, 2025.

Luxembourg was one of seven countries to take part in the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Luxembourg participated in the contest 37 times before withdrawing from the contest after 1993. During these 37 years, they won the contest five times, the last of these victories came in 1983. Luxembourg came close to returning to the contest in 2004, however, opted against it due to the financial cost of participating. They eventually returned in 2024, after an absence of 31 years.
