5. If anyone is wondering about the background of this: The flight, en route from Baku to Grozny, was allegedly downed by a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense missile. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy compared the tragedy to the 2014 downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, in which a Russian missile shot down a civilian plane over eastern Ukraine, killing 298 people. Zelenskyy pointed to Russia’s responsibility in this latest incident, emphasizing the need for international accountability.

9. Accurate! Putin is knocking civilian passenger planes (planes!!!! More than 1) out of the sky! And certain countries and leaders are burying their heads in the sand. Invading countries, shooting down civilian airliners, and asking allies to send troops to fight. Everyone should be in war prep mode. This is not just Europe’s problem and Ukraine’s fight.
