    Otherwise known as Дед Мороз. I.e. the cheap knock off Soviet version, complete with his own red suit, boots, white beard, slate and a bag of presents. He did have Snow white as his helper, so I guess that was the one improvement.

    Which I find very funny considering the whole red suit and shtick was conjured up by Coca cola as a mascot.

    Russia cannot come up with anything new. They just copy and make shitty versions of better products.

  15. It is funny that Santa Claus is completely commercial product despite named by Snt. Nicolaus. But Ded Moroz even worse, a pagan God of frost that was freezing to death people in the forest, reanimated by Soviets to be presented as New Year celebration that should take attributes of Christmas and replace it, with red star on top of Christmas Tree instead of Christmas Star.

    And this refurbishment and first orchestration of new “holy”-day for kids with presents and fasting in Kremlin was done by Kaganovitch that later strangled Ukraine in mass extermination by hunger “Holodomor”
