What is the problem? Poland’s request/offer isn’t unreasonable. Why did the US turn it down? Seems kinda dumb.

USA: So here’s the plan – you give jets to Ukraine, and if Russia attacks you, we will TOTALLY defend you
Poland: Then we will give the jets to you, and YOU as a NATO will send them. Sounds good, right?
USA: ….You know what? Forget the jets
For SHAME. This is beyond ridiculous. Poland is being told it’s okay to donate their jets, but the United States doesn’t want to be an intermediary. The world’s greatest superpower is telling a 38m country that basically did not exist until 30 years ago to do something they’re afraid of doing themselves. For SHAME!! Oh yes pardon US for being cautious after the country was taken apart, lost its independence for 123 years, then was ravaged in WW2 after being abandoned by allies who said they’ve had our back. This is such an infantile stance by the US.
Oh yeah. Makes us feel so safe knowing our allies would *definitely* have our backs if we were to be attacked next. Really makes us feel so safe.
The US is afraid to get involved in a war? That’s a first.
