Cool boats & all, but I think the examiner has gone a bit overboard calling them “Warships”. They have no significant hardpoints for weapons mounting (despite the mad big turret on the ship in the examiners article picture). You can whack a few machine guns on the rail if you want, but that’s about it.
New Zealand have 4 of these in total. 2 have been decommissioned & the other 2 are in active service since 2009.
Wonder which we’re buying.
The LE Paddy Losty and the LE Padraig Flynn please.
Don’t we have problems crewing the vessels we already have? Was sure I read that our navy was shockingly understaffed these days.
Boats and Hoes….
Strip out the interior, throw in a couple of sleeping bags, and boom, that’s 1800 euro rent a month right there
Absolutely fucking pointless impulse purchase

How about you recruit sufficient naval members to man those ”Ships” that we currently have skeleton crews on..
We’ll have them just in time for WW IV
Why are we buying used boats?!?
You’d think for an island nation with a massive maritime territory, we’d have a better navy.
But all the controls will be upside down!!
Isnt half our fleet in port all the time because they dont have enough saliors
Be cheaper just to join NATO and borrow military power from other countries if we ever needed it.
Ah lads were sorted now to defend ourselves against the Russians
We should get the Australians to fill the with emus. If anyone tries to attack us we could release the emu horde on them.
I’m coming back for a holiday in April I could drive one over
Just what the Irish always wanted..
I’ll buy a house in my 50s I guess
Hey Irish warship, go feck yourself
now we’ll have spiffy new war ships that we can under-staff
The navy is already low on manpower, so why bother buying another 2 ‘warships’? Surely there’s better ways to invest the money in. How about increasing the shitty pay to encourage people to stay?
Why? We can’t even man the ones we already have.
I assume we’ll call them Bród and Síoda.
Hope they put them in a low loader to keep the mileage down.
Cool, were they getting the crew to staff them.
But we can’t get the man power to run the ones we have!
I think it’s a good thing, but I think the money should have been spent within the EU.
This may be a stupid question but the ships will sail here right?

IDK why the examiner described them as ‘warships’, they are patrol boats which machine guns can be mounted on.
These are [Lake class inshore patrol vessels.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake-class_inshore_patrol_vessel)
