My guess is that in the future, German auto manufacturers are going to place more emphasis on their engineers designing vehicles that use general-purpose chips that are also used by other electronic devices and built in large quantity, rather than small-volume ASICs.
That or relax their just-in-time manufacturing policy and accept that they have to pay to stockpile a larger amount of chips and other components in advance.
Oh no. We need hundreds of thousands more cars. What will we do without hundreds of thousands of even more cars?
The Brits took all the Chips with them. 🙂
