Russia only has enemies and subjects, there is no “neutral countries” category.
So you stay neutral with the US and China I guess, and vulnerable to Russia.

EU already has a defence clause. If Russia were to attack say Finland today, that would already be a declaration of war to the 27. We just need to prop up the Union to the next level.
