  1. Didnt know NYT is in charge of the army inventory…. also good plan publishing the stockpile state online

  2. Hopefully they get some more authorized before the soup Nazi takes over

  3. Makes sense to use them up all now, before new restrictions possibly come in

  4. I would use them on russia too before the orange tells me I can’t use them 😂

  5. Nyt is no longer a liberal bastion. Its pushing russian interests.

Fuck them. I cut all my feed and refuse to consume anything from them.

  6. We need to ramp up production of the Precision Strike Missile as soon as possible so more ATACMS can be released. It is also well past time that JASSM should have been released. A few early production ER-GMLRS could also be sent. The US administration can use the Defense Production Act to order a ramp up in domestic solar pannel production, but not scarce, precious, precision guided weapons.

  7. There’s a good chance they won’t be able to use them whenever Trump is in charge, I wouldn’t keep any stock either.

  8. NYT have posted false info before I’d take them with a grain of salt

  9. Well let’s get some more then. Yes I’m talking to you western politicians.

  10. The last package of 2024 includes air defense interceptors and artillery munitions but the exact contents are expected when the package is announced in the coming days. The package will be worth about $1.2 billion…no mention of atacms 🙁

  11. The more targets Ukraine destroys the closer to Victory for Putin

  12. To be fair, Ukraine is ‘running out’ of everything. It’s a fuckin war, you’ll never have enough equipment, there will always be a shortage of what you need. To operate at full strength and be able to fight the Russians comfortably, every Ukrainian brigade would need a handful of extra IFV’s and tanks, but they haven’t had that for a while now and are still fighting on. Ukraine has enough equipment to fight defensively for the time being, it just doesn’t have the reserves to go on the offensive.

This brings how people say that Ukraine has a critical ‘manpower shortage.’ Long story short no, it doesn’t. It has an experienced and motivated soldier shortage. Kyiv doesn’t have enough professional soldiers (neither does Russia atp) to warrant taking on swathing offensives across Donetsk. If Ukraine needs people to hold AK’s and sit in trenches, they have more than enough capability to do so.

So if Kyiv is ‘running out of ATACMS’ I’m willing to bet it’s just not able to just launch them as freely as they might have been able to. Still, I’d love to see Ukraine use the missiles to their fullest.

  13. If true not surprising.  Not many of these missiles were made, nor were many likely supplied either.  They were only ever going to offer a temporary advantage and now Ukraine has low serial production of it’s own longer range missiles.  Hopefully they helped bridge the gap in capability while they were around.  As always, it’s frustrating they were provided so late instead of years ago when the impact could have been greater when Russia had less troops mobilized.

  14. Of course they will be depleted, when no new ones arrive. Even my little nephew gets that. The only answer for dwindling arms is sending more arms. Thank you NYT for this trailblazing insight. We wouldn’t get it without you.
