I’ll never understand why both political sides are so triggered by walls. Anti-immigration types get an orgasm every time someone says “wall” and want to build them everywhere like it’s some wonder weapon while pro-immigration types immediately yell fascism if they see two bricks on each other.
It’s a tool which can be used to step up border controls in certain locations _if it’s used properly_. Just like every other tool it can be misused but I fail to see why this makes it contrary to European values.
We use a shitload of other tools to protect our borders. Many of them can be similarly misused (guns, guard dogs, etc.) but I don’t see anyone complaining about them.
