Shops used to close ar 2pm, so not like you couldn’t get your Christmas Eve dinner done on time until this year. Or simply take a day off.
But hey, ppl it was actually intend to help somehow (retail) can now work another Sunday to make up for it. Yay.
I’ve always been surprised that with Wigilia being as important, big, as it is that it was still a working day for so many people, including rubbish collection etc which in context are non-essential.
