Airlec retired the only Citation I/SP it operated, ch-aviation research has revealed.
F-HFRA (msn 501-0044) was actively operating under the ‘ARL’ code until September 24, 2024, when it flew between Dijon and Bordeaux Mérignac. Between October 23 and 26, it flew to Uvalde Garner Field in the United States, with stops at Shannon, Wick, Reykjavik Domestic, Bangor International, and Nashville John C. Tune. The 47-year-old aircraft was deregistered in France on December 9 and reregistered in the United States as N61HA the following day. It has yet to operate under the new registration.
With the retirement of the Citation I/SP type, Airlec continues to operate one more Citation aircraft, a Citation II, under its French Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC), alongside two BAe-125-1000Bs, a Falcon 900EX, a Hawker 900XP, and two Swearingen Metroliner SA-226-T(B)s. The company has recently inducted a second Falcon 900EX and owns a general aviation aircraft, a Mooney M20K.
Airlec provides a range of aviation services, including private jet charter flights and air ambulance operations. In October 2024, it announced a strategic partnership with fellow operator VallJet, with both companies becoming sister carriers and operating under a joint brand, DexFly.
