Realistically, Switzerland has more to fear, since they have the least access to alternative energy sources.
If we do get to the point where we risk blackout or “coldouts” though, the only sensible thing is to start triaging.
***Britain’s attack on France***
*At the time, France’s Europe minister Clement Beaune accused Britain of not keeping its promises as signed under the Brexit deal.*
Britain’s attack on France, what planet are these people on? All this over a few fishing licences and French boats refusing to submit the required evidence to prove historical fishing rights as per the deal, this is apparently Britain attacking France who want to retaliate by, amongst other things cutting off UK energy supplies.
They should really ask the ROI how they feel about all this, not only do they import power from the UK they’re also totally reliant on the UK for its gas supplies. Sort of puts them in a awkward position.

That would be a bit shit for Ireland, would it not? As in the UK could do the same?
this is a very stupid idea that would backfire big time as you know the UK Gov would spin it to say ‘the evil EU are carrying out their threat on the UK’
Brexit made UK a third country. good job!
Wouldn’t that just hurt Ireland though, as the U.K. would then have to rely on its own natural gas supplies (35% of demand) and what is piped from Norway (38% of demand). That would cut off Ireland’s supply or severely increase the import costs from Britain.
More spin for the media
The UK fluctuates between 2nd and 3rd largest gas producer in Europe. They’ll be fine.
All the EU has to do is finally support its own gas finds in the mediteranean… off the shore of cyprus… and stop Turkish agression.
Boom – giant stream of gas that can supply Europe and partners.
This is litterally in Cypriot aka EU international waters.
France and USA already have contracts for mining it.
Get more EU support to do the right thing and claim sovereign European gas…
Time to cut off the EUs internet access seeing as though most of it runs though Cornwall.
And there we have it. One shut off valve in Russia controls the fate of central and Western Europe. Well done agent green, mission accomplished.

This is basically shooting Ireland in the leg when aiming for the UK.
