  1. A famous foreign billionaire that doesn’t live in Germany having a piece published about how one party is Germany’s saviour?

Yeah, pretty cut and dry influencing of people here.

  2. Soros Musk can shut up and keep running the US into the ground.

  3. Who gives a f. Lobbyist organisations constantly try to influence elections.

  4. Honestly, something good might come out of this. It might be a bit naive to hope but maybe this and similar incidents will finally push our legislators to move against such malicious influence from other countries.

  5. Remember Elon is the dude who started fighting unions in Europe, because Tesla workers had rights. It’s weird how anyone would want his support, infact if the political party told him to fuck off, that would do wonders for the PR.

  6. I mean… hasn’t Musk himself said it pretty much openly?

  7. I really really hope this will backfire in his face and will be the reason why they will ban Twitter in Europe

  8. Is there any data available already on how 1st lady Elonia is sabotaging Tesla sales with his transformation to a shameless oligarch?

  9. And Germany or EU will absolutely do nothing about it. Illegal african immigrant to USA, can use their their wealth to influence democracy and elections of countries they aren’t citizens in. European countries or EU will do absolutely nothing, because the facist infultrated the system benefit from foreign wealth interfering with elections will do their best to allow this, and the rest are too cowardly and manipulated by foreign companies lobbyist to do anything about it. If anyone dares to do anything about this, Musk will just fabricate misinformation, spread propaganda and artificially attack them; then Russia will do the same via TikTok. Fascist will grow in power while liberal elements and left will just stand by pretending we can solve this problem by talking calmly… oh… and the left is absolutely fucking piss poor and without resources. No amount of community funding or organisation can match a foreigner billionares and governments who have access to influence social media and internet as whole. And if we sanction Musk, Trump will just threaten EU as whole with more tariffs, sanctions of their own. And then EU will give in because “*we need to think about our economy*”.

  10. He’s everything the right complains about George Soros for x100,000

  11. Scholz doesn’t have the balls to do anything about it and his successor (most likely Merz) will strike a deal with Musk. Mark my words.

  12. The German govt. MUST act now or get ready for what happened in the USA.

  13. He’s trying to do the same in the uk.

We need to censor this guy and his money

Force local takeover of all Musk related property and businesses on the european continent.

  14. Musk is a national security disaster. He’s on drugs all the time and his spat with MAGA hardliners shows how insane he really is, especially when he went back and started deleting his own tweets.

  15. You guys need to get that tool out of y our politics before it becomes like America.

  16. Musk is acting as a Foreign Terrorist against the German Government. Put sanctions on Musk and his business in Germany, put Musk on a no fly/no entry list. Fight back or get owned Germany. Pretty simple…Musk is also fomenting unrest and financially supporting radicals in Brazil, the UK, the USA, in Ukraine and more. Musk is a Global Terrorist, and he is an ally of China and Russia/Putin. None of this is a secret, it’s out in the open and reported/documented by unimpeachable sources. So countries either stop a baby wannabe Adolph, or let him hurt and damage you.

  17. All things considered, I think they are absolutely scared of how this could affect them and their parties.
Disregarding what you think of him, it will have an effect.
AFD now know they basically have the backing of the USA administration. It will probably give them another surge of power. And legitimacy from USA. Voters a aware of what that means.

  18. Remember, its only foreign influence if it doesnt benefit your party.

  19. Take a page from Brazil and make him pay. He needs to realize he isn’t above the law.

  20. Somebody likes to state the obvious. He’s doing the same with Farage and Meloni

  21. Just returning the favor. Stay out of ours we’ll stay out of yours.

  22. And Berlin is going to let him because Berlin can never ever get bothered to do anything about these kinds of things.

  23. If I were Zuckerberg I’d be fucking pissed at Elon for this because the more he attracts criticism the more it will probably lead to a wider social media algorithm policy that the EU would implement to stop interference. Like him saying something doesn’t matter at all but he has also acted on this and we all know it, papers get a lot more scrutiny and Twitter is mostly fine if it truly was free of influence in the algorithm but the more the scales get tipped the more this sort of thing needs regulation.

I know I just see what I see on social media but on Twitter there is a really annoying pattern after forming of recommending really fringe, radical right wing content, like not viral posts, not cat videos or something, these are like 100 follower literal racists and they are getting into the “for you” feed. In Ireland these aren’t some super mainstream beliefs but on Twitter these are propagated either by a faulty algorithm or probably more likely something that biases that content over actual stuff I’d interact with.

  24. President Elon isn’t event in office yet and he’s meddling in international affairs.

  25. Just give him cheap aluminium and watch how he changes over time, lol

  26. Is Elon Musk even popular in Germany? I get the impression that most people in the EU don’t like him much.

  27. It’s really shocking how chinese try to influence western countries democratic elections through their platfor….

…Wait, I though we were talking about Tiktok? Nevermind then, keep going.

  28. The problem is that German will need to print the tweets send by fax to inform everyone and receive the positive response that what everyone is see online in real time is really happening and then 2030 they will do something about the 2025 politics.

  29. Well done Berlin! You worked out the thing Elon said he was doing! You cracked the code!

Now…_do something about it_ because this really better not end up as a “if only we saw it coming” response.

Nevermind, I saw you have a plan!

    > “We say quite clearly: Our democracy is defensible and it cannot be bought.”

That’s it then, you _told_ him…I mean, you told someone else but I’m sure he’ll listen and realise he’s been defeated!

….not that I can mock Germany, he’s already bought Farage and our government has also stated the same thing, whilst doing nothing. I think we’re safe though, it’s not like he could buy the largest Economy in the world, I’m sure they’ll have everyone’s back. In our case, there’s a nice five years to stop this and I’m positive we’ll be saying “good job, well done, you defeated him” next term…right?…_right_

“How could we not have seen this coming!”

  30. Duh, that guy has a factory in Germany and does not want to be bothered by authorities. Of course, this can be labeled as a foreign intervention in the election.

  31. He isn’t trying, he is going to if you don’t stop him. And asking isn’t going to work. It’s honestly probably already over …

  32. >“I cannot recall a comparable case of interference, in the history of Western democracies, in the election campaign of a friendly country.”

    >Saskia Esken, co-leader of Scholz’s Social Democrats (SPD), vowed fierce resistance to attempts by state actors as well as the rich and influential to influence Germany’s elections.

What’s the difference between Musk being an overly loud idiot and Obama campaigning against Brexit? Or George Soros types leveraging their influence in European politics. Klaus Schwab buying his way into the office of nearly every political leader in Europe? Jeff Bezos buying politically influential newspapers?

Ah, right, Musk is supporting the wrong politicians.

  33. EU and close folks from Europe :

Just block the likes of X and TikTok from our regional portion of the internet already, and forbid foreign influencers from funding and interfering with our elections processes FFS

They’re propaganda-spreading media, led by people compromised with hostile entities like Russia and far-right hate groups

They’re not free speech platforms, they’re dangerous and harmful, anyone not a fascist or a collaborationist can tell

    It’s okay to block them
