  1. To leave a peaceful country and travel across Europe to enter a conflict against a far stronger enemy takes some balls.

I’ve been thinking if I would do the same if it was my country, I like to think I would but it is hard to know.

Nothing but respect for those men.

  2. I hope they come back safely.

The courage so many people have shown is.. I really can’t think of an adequate word to describe it.

  3. Love the fact their rocking the tricolour too. I hope they all make it back to these shores and their families safely.

  4. May they all live to tell the tale and see their children’s children grow up, and may the madness of this war come to an end, somehow.

  5. My cousin’s Irish. Volunteered to fight in the Balkans in the 90s in his 20s. Just left Ireland without telling anyone what he was planning. Ended up wounded, losing an eye and marrying the Croatian nurse that cared for him in hospital. They live in Ireland with two daughters. He’s just announced he’s shipping out to Ukraine on Saturday. Mad respect. Hope he comes back.

  6. Very sad that these men have to go and fight for their home country.

They don’t look like soldiers, just normal people. I hope they all return safe.

  7. I’m Ukrainian thinking on going over there living in Ireland right now, respect to them for going, show them what Ukrainians are like boys slava Ukraine!

  8. Their families must have such a mix of pride and worry. Absolute legends. My heart goes to their wives, kids and other relations back here, Slava Ukraine
